Oil Rigs: Delicate relationship between MAN and NATURE
I find the oil drilling rigs especially relevant and extremely fascinating as architectural structures or simply as an artistic object in relation to its varied natural environments. These structures become dominant features of its natural context, in both day and night time. Of mans imposing forces on nature. A strong juxtaposition of ruggedness, masculinity, austerity and strength against the purity and pristine qualities of the natural environment.
